Description
Spark plug cover or also known as top cap for HPI Baja 5B, 5T, 5SC.
Also comparable with KM Buggy, Rovan Buggy, Q-Baja, KM T1000,
I have printed mine using PETG-CF and it is mostly solid filament due to 6 walls and a small amount of cubic infill at 25%. Normal PETG should be absolutely fine but I would not recommend PLA or similar as this area can get pretty warm due to engine temps. I have not had the opportunity to run the buggy since making this top cap so I can not comment on the long term suitability of this model for strength or heat resistance.
The model is positioned on the build plate to maximise the top surface finish and also I have added a variable layer height to reduce the layer lines on the top fins.
