Description
Tripod for Seestar and others
I wanted to be able to get my Seestars up off the ground. I designed this simple tripod to do the trick. It uses all PLA. I used PLA Glow on the leg connectors and feet so that it shows up better at night. Only the feet need support. Turn it off for all others. I used a brim on all the tubes and connectors. The top is designed to fit a 3/8”-16 bolt. Pick a length that is appropriate for either your Seestar or the adapter you are using. I used plain PVC cement for all the permanent joints. I only connected two tubes together so that I could break this down and put it into a small gym bag. One of the leg connectors is designed with a place for a hook so that you can support the legs better. I used basic light duty double loop chain and a key ring in the center. You’ll have to clip the outside end of each chain to create a “hook” to attach to the legs. (see picture)
You’ll need to print:
- 1 head
- 3 head connectors
- 3 feet
- 3 chain connectors
- As many tubes as you desire
- Enough of the other connectors to make up the difference.
The .3mf file has a complete set for the size I made with 15 tubes. The A1 mini version is exactly the same except for the length of the tubes.
