Ultimate retraction, bridging and precision test
Print Profile(1)

Description
Is your printer well calibrated or are you just lucky?
This cube is the ultimate test to put filament, profile and machine to the test with a single quick print.
With a solid base and hollow faces, this design allows you to detect common errors visually and directly:
🔍 What can you calibrate and how to see it?
- 🧵 Retraction / Stringing
Look inside the cube, between the frames of the open faces.
If you see thin threads connecting the edges: retraction is misconfigured. - 🌉 Bridging
Observe the top of the hollow faces.
If the filament hangs, curves or does not connect well: lack of cooling or incorrect speed. - 📏 Dimensional accuracy
Measure the cube with a caliper.
If it does not measure what it should: check steps per mm or flow. - 📐 Ghosting / Vibrations
Look at the outer perimeters.
If there are ripples next to the corners: your printer is vibrating or the axis is loose. - 🧱 Layer uniformity
Observe the smooth walls.
If there are irregular lines or jumps: temperature, extrusion or Z-axis problems. - 🧊 Overhangs and cooling
The bases of the frames float slightly.
If you see sagging or deformation: cooling is insufficient or the angle is too aggressive. - 🧲 First layer and adhesion
The solid base allows you to see if it adhered well.
If there are raised or poorly defined areas: check leveling and initial layer height.
📦 Printing recommendations:
- Layer height: 0.2 mm
- No supports
- 100% flow
- Fan on for bridges
- Measure the cube after printing to check accuracy
