Description

“The original Planes of the Head, as well as subsequent heads and Planes of the Body, was designed and developed by John Asaro. John was raised in Southern California where he attended Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. He also attended the Art Students League in New York City. He left a twelve-year career in commercial art to become a fine artist. He later taught figurative painting at Art Center College of Design where he developed the concept of Planes of the Head. He no longer teaches, choosing instead to concentrate on painting full time. He holds an honorary doctorate from the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. The Planes of the Head mannequin head has been available since 1976. This knowledge of the head is only a start. One must find his or her own path.”

The original price per head is simply disproportionate, so I decided to create my own variation on this model and make it available to everyone for free. If you liked the model, please take a moment and leave a positive reaction or comment with your own thoughts :)

OBJ is ready for scaling, 3MF include head with 25cm scale :)

nice and usefull made a hollow profile. it’s still sturdy but uses a lot less material and prints faster.

Printed at 100% The model is beautiful, and it printed smoothly. Too bad I couldn't print it at its original size of 34cm tall due to printer limitations. To comment on something: - The area under the chin is rough and very thin, making it fragile with small gaps. - If I had paid attention, I would have placed the seams on the edges to hide them. - At certain heights, I got lines, I thought it might be due to changes in thickness, retraction... but they also appear on the tower. If anyone can explain why, I would appreciate it. In any case, the bottom part of the chin is not visible, the lines are not that bad, and the model is perfect for practicing shadow drawing or as a decorative object. Thanks for sharing

(I would give 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, but I just realized I don't know how to do it 😅)
