Object Counter & Tachometer with OLED Display – Arduino Project
This Arduino-based project combines two measurement functions into one compact system using an OLED display. In Object Counter mode, it detects and counts objects passing in front of an IR sensor, displaying the total on screen. In Tachometer mode, it measures the rotational speed (in RPM) based on the time interval between consecutive objects, assuming each object corresponds to one revolution.
Two push buttons allow the user to:
- Reset the count or RPM reading
- Switch modes between "Object Counter" and "Tachometer"
It is compatible with both Arduino Uno and the classic Arduino Nano, using the I2C interface for display and analog input for sensor reading.
The Arduino code has been uploaded in txt documentation format.
Use Arduino IDE to upload the code.
After downloading and installing Arduino IDE, install the following libraries into Arduino.
- u8g2
- Adafruit_GFX.h
- Adafruit_SSD1306.h
