Aprilaire 2210/2410 Air System Filter Adapter

This was created as I was tired of spending rediculous amounts of money on the accordian style filters that Aprilaire want you to buy. I wanted a solution that allowed me to use basic 1 or 2 inch filters, that I could replace more frequently.

For my use case, I needed six copies of this model. I printed all of mine with PETG, to ensure a seamless fit and reliable performance. Each piece connects securely to each other using 2 zip ties, which simplified installation without the need for permanent modifications to your air purification system.

This design is compatible with various standard box filters available in the market, such as Filtrete 1-inch and 2-inch filters. The maximum filter dimensions are provided for both 2210 (20" x 25") and 2410 (16" x 25") models.

Assembly Instructions:

1. Connect any three pieces together using the included zip-ties.
2. Insert the zip-tie from the edge of the product, and loop through, ensuring that the "head" of the zip-tie ends closest to the middle of the product.
3. Snip the remaining zip-tie tail against the head.
4. Repeat until you have a set of 3x filter pieces for each side.
5. Install into the air filtration unit by inserting the hooks around the metal lip, and allowing the inner plastic guides to fit in the middle of the metal lips.
6. Slide your box filter in to the appropriate slot, and enjoy using your own box filters.

• Can I use both a 1 inch and 2 inch box filter at the same time? 
  • It's not recommended, as it may choke the airflow to your furnace fan and potentially cause damage. Ideally, you'd get a higher MERV filter if you want better filtration.
