2.5in external hard drive mount

This is a simple mounting system for standard 2.5-inch external hard drives.

There are two versions.

• A standard wall mount
• An IKEA Skådis-compatible mount

It works well with my:

• Seagate One Touch drives
• WD Passport drives

However, any drive approximately 115mm long and 20mm thick should fit properly.

The front of the mount is intentionally left open. Since these drives are commonly designed to sit openly on desks, I wanted to avoid fully enclosing them and restricting airflow more than necessary. It also allows you to have a nice big area to label the drives for easy identification. 

I have also included the STEP files so the mounts can easily be modified for different drive sizes if needed.

Material Recommendations:

• PLA works great for normal use
• PETG, ABS, or ASA are recommended if your drive runs warm or is installed in a hotter environment
