Description

Note: This is made for drains that look like the ones in the picture. It holds it in place and doesn't move due to the two nubs. I have not tested it on any other drain and don't expect it work for any other drains.

I have a walk in shower with a drain I've never seen before that doesn't come out, so I needed a hair catcher to keep it from getting clogged. Most of the hair catchers are made for shower tubs and other drains that won't work. The few that will work don't work that well, often slowing the draining down.

I ended up making my own that works very well. The great thing about this hair catcher is that it doesn't need much filament, so I use my last bit on the rolls for it. They last a long time, and you can easily clean the hair off, but since I can make a lot of them from the last bit of filament that would have ended up in the trash, I just replace them any time they don't work 100%. I've been using it for over a year and it stops all the hair, I haven't gotten a clogged drain yet, but it can stop working due to a build up of “gunk” under it that blocks the holes eventually. Cleaning it and the drain fixes the problem, or as I do, replace it with your stockpile.

You can use PLA, PETG or whatever filament you got as it doesn't take much.
