I have uploaded a version 2.
It is easier to assemble and should be more stable!
The handle needs some force to release it the first time.
🏖️ Sand Drill – Designed by a Dad, Tested by a Kid
My Kid loves building, digging, and generally moving as much sand as possible – so I figured: why not make him a proper tool for the job?
The result is this hand-powered sand drill. It’s got a big spiral for serious digging, a simple handle for little hands, and it actually works surprisingly well in dry and slightly wet sand.
We’ve only tested it in the sandbox so far, but I imagine it could do okay in snow or loose soil too.
If your kid loves digging like mine does, this might just become their new favorite sandbox toy.
✅ Easy to assemble
✅ Makes big, satisfying holes in soft sand
✅ Great for kids (and adults!) who love digging
