Description

Bushing to modify stock tensioner to utilize 2 608 bearings.

Supplies needed:

  • Drill
  • Step bit
  • 30mm M6 bolt
  • 2 608 bearings
  • M6 nut
  • M6 lock washer
  • 3 Speed rings
  • Stock tensioner

Need to start by drilling out the rivet in the stock tensioner. I widened the stock hole to 3/8" using a step bit. Slide the bushing through newly widened hole, place a speed ring, bearing, speed ring, bearing, speed ring, then place the bolt in. Place the lock washer and nut at the opposite end.

I did not come up with this idea, but needed a spacer to take up space for the bolt I had available. The idea to swap the tensioner roller to bearings came from some of the good folks on the Crazy Cart Modders FB group
