Description
I have custom 3D modeled a protective shell for the Nothing CMF Buds Pro 2 charging case
Printing Details
- The model is simple and quick (less than an hour) to print!
- No support structure is required.
- The plate patterns you use will be visible on the top and bottom surfaces of the case (images 2, 3, 4)
- Compatible with all printers due to the model's small size
Product Details
100% 3D printable (requires no additional non-3D printed parts)
The shell comprises two parts:
- Top shell which fully covers the case without hindering opening or interactions with the dial (rotation and pressure)
- Bottom shell which fully covers the case without hindering opening, access to its charging port, and visibility of the indicator light (image 7)
The shell has a consistent 2 mm thickness, preventing a significant increase in the case's initial dimensions
All corners are smooth for enhanced grip (image 7)
Inserting the case into the shell is easy thanks to its beveled edges (image 8)
No mechanical strength testing has been conducted

- Utility:
This shell primarily protects against everyday scratches and minor impacts (example: a 1.5 m drop)
It also allows for customized case personalization
- Installation:
The case slides easily into the top and bottom shells
The shell holds securely in place due to optimal dimensional fitting

- Both parts were printed together on the same plate

Let me know if you try printing with TPU. I believe the feel would be more pleasant, but I currently don't have any.
I will likely release a second version with higher-quality finishes in the future. I am open to suggestions!
