Description

Low Rider Wheel for Lawnmower – Where Gardening Meets Style

Bring a touch of West Coast vibes to your lawn care setup with this 6-inch low rider-style wheel, designed for lawnmowers but with the look of a true custom showpiece. Inspired by the iconic cars from GTA and Snoop Dogg’s music videos, this project blends functionality with head-turning design.

Technical specs:

  • Wheel/rim diameter: 6" (152.4 mm)
  • Fits axle size: 13 mm
  • Overall width: approx. 40 mm
  • Internal spinner element: a rotating piece inside the rim for that classic visual effect in motion
  • Wheel-to-rim assembly: hot glue recommended

Recommended print materials:

  • Minimum: PETG
  • Best: ASA (for weather resistance and long-term outdoor durability)
Post-processing ASA is advised for extra UV and impact resistance.

Tech note:

Unfortunately, there are no off-the-shelf bearings available for 13 mm axles compatible with this design. The wheel is meant to rotate directly or using printed bushings.

Optional parts included:

Not a fan of the spinner? No problem – I’ve also included caps to cover the center hole for a clean, minimalist look.

Customization:

I’m including the .STEP file of the wheel so makers can tweak it as they wish:
✔️ Add treads for extra grip
✔️ Modify the pattern or thickness
✔️ Adapt it to your terrain or mower type
Personally, I’ve had great results with smooth wheels, but you do you!

Those are nice D’s! You should gold plate ‘em if you know how. Think you could make some some for my wheelchair? Holla.

I could have them gold-plated because I know companies that do it, but the cost would be quite high. I haven't fully understood how big you'd like them to be, if you need something specific feel free to ask and perhaps in my free time I'll design it for you! Send me some measurements
