Three-Level Rigid Chick Roost Bar – Perfect for Brooder Boxes and Growing Flocks
Introducing a sturdy, three-level baby chicken roost bar designed specifically for brooder boxes. Measuring 250mm (9.8in) long, 75mm (3in) tall, and 150mm (6in) deep, this roost is ideal for young chicks up to several weeks old. Its rigid construction ensures minimal flex and supports multiple chicks at once, providing a safe and comfortable space for roosting and socializing. The compact, arched design fits easily inside most brooders, making it a perfect addition for chick development and enrichment.
No supports needed! Simply print all pieces on a single (or multiple) plate in your choice of filament (model shown was printed in PolyLite PLA Pro Orange). Ensure the wider base on each bar is facing up. Press them into place on either side plate. The bars are designed to be pressure fit into the side plates to allow easy cleaning and disassembly to be stored for the next hatch of babies.
It can be scaled to any desired size if needed.
NOTE: When assembling, be sure to put the wider flat part of the bars facing up for a wider platform for the Chicks Feet.
UPDATE (3/8/2026): I have had a few requests from you fine folks asking for a slightly taller version. It is now live! 25mm Taller than the original that should help for the growing chicks before they head out on their own!
