Bahtinov Mask for 8" Carbonstar RTC Telescope

This is a Bahtinov focusing mask for an 8 inch Apertura Carbonstar Ritchey–Chrétien telescope.  It will allow you to manually focus your scope much easier by eye than using a raw star image.   This model may fit other 8" RCT models but I cannot verify this.

I chose to print this as a two color model to make it look interesting but for simplicity and speed one could change to single color in Bambu Studio before print.   I printed in PLA as this model does not require extended outdoor use.  PETG should work well too although it may shrink more or less.

This print was also done with very slow initial layer speed settings for adhesion to a smooth plate.  For a standard textured plate you may be able to speed up initial layers significantly.
 

I created it by using a Mask Drawing generator provided by https://satakagi.github.io/tribahtinovWebApps/Bahtinov.html which allows basic scope details to be added and a 2d drawing generated with proper angles.   I then drafted it into a 3d model and added necessary size and features so it would sit properly on the telescope.
