  • Mounting Hardware (Screws) x 3:

Description

Here's a little design I did up for mounting my guitar on the wall. I wasn't stoked on the traditional neck-based hangers, so I designed this one to be more incognito for guitar storage (doubles as decor).

Design is 2 part:

  •  A “base” for the guitar to rest on, with a hole for the endpin strap button to rest in. I made the hole +1mm so that it's a snug fit, but not hella toight - the base's purpose is for lateral stabilisation and weight bearing, but it doesn't ‘hold’ the guitar to the wall
  • A “clamp” to secure the guitar to the wall - this is the top piece that I designed off of my strap button on the heel's back edge. In theory, this could be enough to hold the guitar on it's own, but I added the base for that lateral stabilisation as well as reducing unnecessary sideways force on the heel strap button. It's designed for the button to pop in and slide into place to secure.

I oriented the design so that layers are perpendicular to primary forces, and I printed in PETG for strength, but you do you. I'm sure PLA would work but maybe bump up the walls.

I placed recessions (8mm W x 4mm D) on the screw holes so that it works with most button headed screws and gives a flush mount at the back. Would fit any guitar with a similar strap button setup. Just check your button diameter to make sure you're printing at the right size.

Requires x 3 screws (and anchors if mounting into drywall).
