Summary
This grenade, known as the Zarya (meaning “dawn light”) was the Soviet Union's equivalent of the famous M84 “Flashbang” Stun Grenade. This grenade has a very distinctive appearance with that spikey bottom on it (that is rubber with the real thing). Its fun to hold due to the spikes that give it an interesting feel in the hand. Like all my other grenades the top is spring-loaded and flies off when you pull the pin and release the handle, just like the real thing.
Assembly is super simple and only takes about 30 seconds – scroll down to see a visual guide. If you want the grenade to have the spring loaded flying handle, you'll need a spring, but many different springs will do, including pen springs. The model is designed to work with the Bambu Store's 0.5x7x12mm spring (linked lower on the page). You can even cut a longer pen spring and get two springs out of one since this model only needs a minimum spring length of 12mm (about ½ inch). If you don't want it to spring and just want a desk model of a grenade, no problem, just print this and don't put in a spring.
Bambu Filaments used were:
- Metal Iridium Gold
- Silk+ Silver
- For the silver vertical topper I recommend a stronger filament than typical silk, such as PLA Silk+.
- Metal Iron Gray Black
- The real thing has a rubber bottom, so you could come close by printing in something like TPU, but I haven't tested it myself.
Assembly is super simple, here's the instructions (shows the F1 Grenade, but its the same assembly):

If you enjoy my work and would like to help support my ability to share more (and even better) models in the future, please consider boosting or buying me a coffee at the link below. Your support is what helps me have enough filament and supplies to do all the print testing required for my models to be high quality and easy to assemble. It takes a mountain of test prints for each model. Thanks :-)
