Description

Battery Container

 

Robust, lockable container for Batteries, SD Cards and other stuff. Ideal for Camping, Photography and other outdoor adventures. There is quite some choice for the inlays, but you can custommize your own inlay. For your specific camera batteries, tools, camping equipment, etc. Just download the STEP file and start customizing

Size

 ~ 120 mm x 70 mm x  68.5 mm

 

Features

  • Robust design (the bumper on top could be from TPU to give extra impact absorbtion)
  • waterproof (if you use the foam rubber sealing)
  • robust hinge (2x M4 screw)
  • Customizable Logo plate (Put your logo or Name in Bambu Studio)(Use the STEP for even more customization)
  • 5 inlay options for Batteries, SD Cards, etc.
  • Option to customize your own inlay (use STEP file)

Print

Print time: Since there are so many options to choose from it depends on what you print

FIlament use: Same here

 

It is a tiny bit of support needed to make this design printable, i would recommend to use the Support “Standart” and Type "Snug".

 

Assembly

A little bit of support is needed to make sure that this design is printable. Please make sure that you clean it before assembly.

 

What else do you need?

2x Cylinder Head Screw M4 x 12 mm 

6x Cylinder Head Screw M3 x 8 mm

Optional: 2 mm Foam rubber sealing

 

Waterproofness

I left it outside in the rain for a few ours. Even without the seal there was no water in it. But if you need it to be waterproof when dipping it shortly under water you need to put in the foam rubber sealing.

Printed perfectly! The batteries fit very well and the box is very sturdy. The latch is also very strong. Made it to take on my roadtrip. Made a small compartment to fit my 3V batteries.

A good model Thanks to the good pictures serving as assembly instructions, including details on which screws are still needed, assembly is very easy With the various components, you can also play with color combinations and vary the box's functionality

Really nice case! Can't wait to maybe make some custom inlays. I used PETG-HF for the outer, TPU bumper and then for the inlays I did the tray one as TPU and for coolness I did a PETG translucent battery inlay. Other than using slightly random filaments, gyroid infill was the only modification I made because it looks quite cool.

Unfortunately the locking mechanism is prone to breaking. I tried printing it in both PLA and PETG and it snaps off the first time I try to lock it closed. I ended up changing it to a rounded bump so that it lightly locks shut but it doesn't make it particularly shockproof.
