Description
Want to reduce the profile of your Sunbeam EM0440 or EM0480 Coffee Grinder? I found the hopper for this affordable conical burr grinder to be huge, especially when I'm weighing out my beans before grinding.
This low profile hopper adapts onto the existing base connection of the grinder, for a simple upgrade!
1. Twist off your existing hopper from the grinder.
2. Using a Torx bit, unscrew the two screws in the base and your plastic hopper will come apart.
3. Screw the base into the new hopper, tight, but not too tight, you don't want to strip out the self-tap the screws will make.
4. Add 4 magnets (3x6mm) into the hopper body (x2) and lid (x2). Use a configuration that is reversible (+ | - - | + , or, - | + + | - ) - negative, positive, positive, Negative, or the opposite. These will require a bit of force to friction fit - I use a pair of pliers to squeeze them in. For a more permanent fix, put a dab of superglue in the holes.
5. Insert and twist base back into your grinder - and you're in action!
