Output shaft seal tool for BMW ZF 6 speed gs6-37bz

This tool is for installing output shaft seals into the ZF 6 speed gs6-37bz. This may work with later ZF transmissions like the gs6-53 but I haven't been able to measure splines or shaft threading to test.

Splines are toleranced to a loose slip fit keep the tool and seal from twisting. the seal snaps positively onto the tool and is retained keeping everything concentric. The total stacked height of the tool with seal attached is set up to allow the nut to engage the first few threads. There is also a lip the sits on that installs the seal to the correct depth.

This could be printed from just about any material. I used PETG-GF but PLA would work fine.

Installation with this tool is very simple. 

1. Snap the seal into the installation tool.
2. Lightly lube the seal with ATF.
3. Slide seal and tool onto the splines.
4. Thread flange lock nut until it makes contact with the tool. 
5. Hand tighten the nut until the tool bottoms out.
