Description

Emergency Repair Kit v2 – Smarter, Stronger, and More Customizable

When everything fails, this kit won’t.
Lightweight, modular, and always ready, the Emergency Repair Kit v2 is your go-to solution in any situation. From hiking in the mountains to the chaos of a makeshift workshop, you’ll have everything you need at your fingertips. This new version doesn’t just improve the original design—it completely reinvents it.

Main New Features:

  • Modular Divider System: Easily reorganize the large drawer with customizable dividers.
  • New Mounting Clips: Includes clips for MOLLE systems and for attaching to backpack straps.
  • Multipurpose Hole: Use it with the included clips or with paracord/elastic to hang it wherever needed.
  • Optimized Components: Parts fit in only one way to ensure safety and prevent damage.
  • Improved Locking System: The detenballs mechanism is now stronger to keep components securely closed.
  • Refined Print Profile: 0% infill for all parts, with minimal supports needed for the paracord spools.

Chassis and Configurations:

Standard Chassis Size: The chassis size remains the same across all configurations.

  • Large paracord spool or large drawer for a roomier setup.
  • Small paracord spool and small drawer for a more compact setup.

Printing Tips:

  • Recommended Profile: For best results, use my optimized print profile.
  • If not using the recommended profile, be sure to print with a raft and ensure the print bed is clean and properly leveled, as the contact surface is small.

Simplified Compatibility:

  • This version (v2) introduces major improvements to clips, drawers, and paracord spools.
  • The new v2 chassis is compatible with v1 drawers and spools.
  • The v1 chassis is not compatible with any v2 components (drawers, spools, or clips).
  • The v1 drawers are also incompatible with dividers and clips.
  • Recommendation: To enjoy all the improvements and avoid confusion, it’s best to print all parts in version v2.

I like this idea! But what if you could make a paracord adapter that could go over (in length, zo everything will still be accessible) kit (so also over the tape) itself? Mostly you'll need long parts of cord. And that way you will have all in one. - a decent amount of tape - a decent amount of cord - and an item compartment to store other things like firestarters, a tiny blade etc etc
