Description

I wanted to create a “Danish brick toy”* roof with shingles, but on a 1 stud wide scale .

So I created a set of 4 custom tiles to create this pattern to use in my sets.

  1. An even shingle tile, snaps onto a single stud - 1x2:

  2. An uneven shingle tile, snaps in between studs - 1x2:
  3. An uneven shingle end-tile - left - 1.5 x 2:
  4. An uneven shingle end-tile - right - 1.5 x 2:

In the print profile you will find 5 plates. The first 4 plates contain each of the tiles per plate (print as many as you need). The last plate contains all the tiles to create a roof on a 10 x 6 studs plate.

With these 4 custom shingle tiles, you can create a roof on a “Danish brick toy” plate.

I also created a version with sidestuds, to use on the edge or you roof:

LEG0 Roof shingle - with sidestud

*Remark:

“Danish brick toy” is of course the reverse of OGEL or L E G O without the spaces, but we are not allowed to use that brand name. My intention isn't to copy or infringe on that brand. I just wanted to create a set of custom bricks as a fun exercise; and to use in my MOC L-E-G-O builds. I created the shingle tiles from scratch and, as far as I know, these custom bricks do not exist in the L-E-G-O universe.
