Description

This is a custom-designed, two-part pickguard for the Harley Benton JA-60 and the JA Kit, created specifically for optimal printing on Bambu Lab X1 Series and P1 Series 3D printers. The model is split into two sections that assemble via a robust, discreet joining system. The joint holds securely with the pickguard screws, but for best long-term strength, I recommend adding a small drop of cyanoacrylate (super glue) at the joint during assembly.

Features

• Two-Part Design: Easily printable on the 256 × 256 × 256 mm build volume of Bambu Lab X1/P1 printers.
• Discreet, Strong Assembly: Integrated joining system ensures a clean look and solid fit. Screws alone are sufficient, but a touch of glue is recommended for added durability.
• Support-Ready: Designed for printing face-down on a 3D effect build plate (e.g., PEO diamond effect). Support structures are required for overhangs-using a dedicated support material (PLA support filament) is highly recommended for clean removal.
• Filament Flexibility: Model tested with standard PLA (Basic) and PLA Sparkle for decorative accents (e.g., logo inlays, not included in this file). Any PLA filament should be sufficient for strength and finish.
• Customizable: The main model does not include a logo, but you can personalize with your own inlays or decals.

Printing Recommendations

• Printer: Bambu Lab X1 Series or P1 Series
• Material: PLA (Basic, Sparkle, or similar)
• Build Plate: Textured or effect plate (PEO diamond effect recommended for visible face)
• Supports: Required. For best results, use a dedicated PLA support filament for the support interface.
• Layer Height: 0.2 mm or finer for best surface finish
• Assembly: Align both parts, join at the discrete connection, secure with pickguard screws, and optionally add a drop of super glue at the joint.

Notes

• All mounting holes and contours are based on a high-resolution scan of the original pickguard (download CAD files here).
• Logo shown in some photos is for illustration only and not included in the download.
• This model is suitable for any standard PLA filament; specialty filaments may be used for custom effects.
