A modular, click-snap photo frame designed to fit standard photo sizes from 6x4 up to 8x10 inches. No glue or screws needed — just print and snap everything into place.
Each must frame include:
- 4 frame sides
- 4 corner click-snaps
- 8 back click-snaps
The frame was designed to hold your photo, a backplate (like cardboard or MDF), and optionally a glass or acrylic front. If you're using glass, I recommend super-gluing the frame parts for extra security.
📏 All frame sizes follow standard photo dimensions. You can mix and match frame pieces of ANY size from 6x4 to 8x10, but do not scale the models — snapping will no longer work correctly if you do.
This is part of an ongoing Snap-Click Frame Collection. More shapes and styles coming soon. Feedback is welcome.
🔧 Parametric Design (NEW)
This design is now fully parametric.
You can generate the frame at any size you want, limited only by your printer’s build plate.
All resizing must be done through the parametric settings — do not scale the models, as this will break the snap-fit tolerances.
There are three parametric generation options, depending on your workflow preference:
- 4-bar version – Generates all four frame sides at once on a single build plate (You can still adjust Height and Width of the frame).
- 2-bar version – Generates two frame sides per plate.
- 1-bar version – Generates a single frame side at a time, ideal for fine control or very large frames.
Important notes:
- All measurements must be entered in millimetres (mm). This allows higher precision.
- It is recommended to add around 10 mm extra to your photo dimensions when setting the size. This gives tolerance in case your photo is slightly larger, so you don’t need to trim it.
At the moment, the maximum frame size is limited by what fits on your build plate.
I am currently working on a future update that will introduce split frame bars, allowing each side to be printed in two parts and snapped together. This will make it possible to create frames larger than your build plate, effectively doubling the maximum achievable size.
