Description

This is a rack mount I designed for the Synology DS920+.

To ensure strength, I made it a sliding structure, secured through the front and rear panel screw holes of the rack.

You’ll need some heat-set threaded inserts, M4 screws, and washers to assemble it.You will need a total of 8 heat-set threaded inserts (M4×5.5×6), 8 M4×8 screws, and 8 metal washers (M4×9×0.8).

So.. would this also fit a DS925+? I assume it does as the 925 is a upgrade from the 920 but any confirmation would nice ;) Aaaaand i should have Googled this first. But here's the answer: The Synology DS920+ and DS925+ are the same physical size, both measuring approximately 166×199×223166 cross 199 cross 223166×199×223 mm. The primary difference is that the DS925+ is a newer model that replaces the older DS920+.

good one. if you press inserts from inside it work a little better and you can accommodate longer screws. I recommend using one size larger washers. the place for bolt itself could be tighter for more clamping surface.
