Description

Dewalt Dust Collection Adapter - Universal Connector to 4" Hose

One printed part takes your DeWalt DWV9000 connector straight into a 4-inch dust collection hose — friction fit to the connector.

My daughter and her husband run a dust collection system in their wood shop, but no combination of off-the-shelf adapters would connect their DeWalt 12" compound miter saw to the 4-inch hose on their collector. They wanted the adapter to start from the DeWalt DWV9000 Universal Quick Multi-Function Connector, so the same fitting works on their other DeWalt tools. We measured the connector tail and the hose, designed this adapter in Fusion 360, and it has worked great ever since — so we're sharing it.

How It Works

Both ends are tapered, and the tapers do the work. The small side's inside diameter tapers from 50mm to 48mm to mate the 49mm outside diameter of the DeWalt connector tail — push it on for a snug friction fit, pull it off when the job is done. The large side's outside diameter tapers from 99mm to 101mm, so a 4-inch hose with its hose clamp slides on easily and seats tight. An external stop ring gives the hose a positive stop, and the internal surface is a smooth continuous curve to keep airflow efficient.

What's Included

- Two Print Profiles: ABS 0.24mm layer, Solid (as photographed, Bambu Lab ABS Navy Blue) and PETG 0.24mm layer — about 3.7 hours on one plate either way.

Print Settings

The included profiles have everything set, but if you slice it yourself these are the settings that matter:

- Brims: the contact area on the build plate is small, so brims are on

- Tree supports: used for the stop ring — they also help stabilize the print on the plate

- Layer height:  0.24mm for strength and a slightly faster print

- Wall loops: 100, which makes the part effectively solid, so it handles the shop environment

- Material: printed in Bambu Lab ABS (Navy Blue) with default filament settings; PETG profile included, and other materials should work fine

Connect the saw, turn on your dust collector, and keep the sawdust where it belongs.
