Description

I'm that guy that uses too many zip ties. So I developed “Zip Tie Buddy” as a way to not only make your zip tie installations look more “clean”, but also to keep your wires, cables, hoses, etc routed more securely, and ultimately give a more professional looking installation any time you use them. “Zip Tie Buddy” is a 2 piece cable clamp that secures with a single standard zip tie. “Zip Tie Buddy” keeps you work piece clamped tightly, while also providing some separation of the work at the same time.

In this “upload” I am including sizes of ¼" all the way through 1", in 1/16" increments. Please note that there is one print profile with ALL sizes on individual labelled plates, and there are also individual print profiles for each size which include both single and multiple model plates. There are also STL files included. I plan to upload more listings for larger clamp sizes, as well as a few specialized clamps that I have developed. If you need a custom size or orientation (more clamped items), please ask and I will do my best to accommodate your request.

started alright with just some layer shifts but there were some really weak thin walls which kept on failing on other prints, these pics were the best out of all the prints

Hello. I’m sorry to hear you weren’t pleased with my model. I see you’re trying to print the smallest sizes, and they are tricky, especially if your printer isn’t completely dialed in. Please note the screenshot from my print profile description describing the break you are talking about; that little tab is only there to give the upper overhang area something to “bridge” to, and if it does break, it doesn’t effect the clamp’s ability to do it’s job. Think of it as a sacrificial piece on these smallest sizes. Regarding layer shifts, that is one of two things. Either your belts are slipping, or possibly you’re experiencing warpage while printing. I noticed I had a hard time if my filament wasn’t perfectly dry. And I’m not sure if this profile has brim enabled on the smaller sizes (my later versions do), but enabling it can help. If you would like me to model you a more substantial clamp with the smaller hole sizes, it will ease your printing challenges on these, and I’d be happy to.
