Description

Update 12/25: I recently found out the non-A1 Mini profile wasn't showing up for some printers, namely the P1S. Turns out the model was large enough it wandered into the “exclusion zone” on their bed plates. There are now ( 3 ) profiles uploaded: A1 Mini, one that covers the A1, H2D, H2D Pro, H2S, P2S, H2C and a new profile scaled down to 94% and adjusted so it will show up for other printer models like the P1S.

Sorry about that, I only have a A1 and I figured if I could print it, most of the other lines could also handle the model size (minus the A1 Mini which is why I went ahead with that re-scale.)

This is my remix of a small set of shelves, for displaying small prints like Benchy's or Stanley mugs or really any other small items for display.

I love printing Benchy's but I hunt for the strange and unique versions, so as such, many are not your typical Benchy size. I found the original shelf design was almost perfect, but my models needed more space. I removed a shelf, widened, then altered the between shelf distance and increased the depth of the shelves. Final size is 4 total shelves:  9.5" x 9.5" x 3.5" [24.13cm x 24.13cm x 8.89cm]. There is a lip on the top shelf to help prevent rattle-off. This fills the whole bed, as such there is BRIM on, but set to Inner Edge to help keep it from warping. Sorry to my A1 Mini brothers and sisters , but I will add a scaled version to fit on your bed so you can print from the app as well.

I also have an issue that my home's walls are panelboard rather than drywall, typical wall anchors don't work well and sticky hooks rip the wall surface up. But I found a product called 3M Claws [ https://a.co/d/1U0QEcE ] that work perfectly for my walls and these anchors hold up to 15lbs (they make different sizes with different weight maxes), but they hold items with a small lip hook, so I needed a different way to mount them.  I added a lip to the bottom of the top shelf that slides into the lip of the 3M CLAW anchors, 2 per shelf, holds it very tight to the wall. They line up pretty decently to set up several for a wall of display shelves. You can use Nano tape as a backup if you think they might rattle on the wall (jets overhead did make mine rattle so I added tape to the bottom shelf backside)

Another tweak was I added additional side supports so if you choose to use it free standing, it can hold up to the weight of itself and the models on it.

Is there a regular print profile? Looks like there is only the scaled down A1 profile.

there are two versions, the titles state the difference, i even checked via handy app (I try to double check things can work via the app as well) the pictures for the profiles are slightly different as well (straight on regular - looking at side for A1 mini)

That’s so odd. Only one shows on my side.

It's the printer - i did go check the profile settings and all but A1 Mini where added (for the 2nd version). When I shift from A1 to P1S it disappears, so I switched back and downloaded the 2nd version, then shifted machines inside the Slicer and for the P1S it apparently goes into part of the print bed that it can't print and throws a red error pop-up [xxx.stl is too close to exclusions area, there may be collisions when printing] give me a few and see if I can scale slightly and repost up a new profile

Very cool little shelf. It could be scaled a bit bigger for P1S.

possibly, but as when i made this i only had a A1, i couldnt get 100% sizing on machines i don't have. I need to print another myself so I'll probably see if I can make one sized for the X2D which I think is closer to a P1S.

Would I be able to simply scale this up some or would other settings need to be tweaked?

yes, just alter the filament settings. should hold up better than pla, just make sure to CLEAN THE BED PLATE & cook the PETG before printing. good luck

how it's it failing? does it warp off? not fit the bed? when's the last time you cleaned the plate? what type plate are you using? which printer? need some more info so maybe we can figure out why it's not working.

there are 2 profiles uploaded, 1 for A1Mini, one for all others. the model is shrunk down to fit Mini & should be printable via the App.
