Description

Summary

The goal for this insert was to organize ALL the content, including what was hidden away in the 5 tuckboxes. So, spoiler alert.

The second goal was to be able to fit upgraded wire trays (I am using these).

Compatibility

➖ Expansions

There are no major expansions.

❌ Sleeved Cards

Special Notes

  • If you don't have or want upgrade wire trays, a spacer piece is included in the profiles and STLs that will keep that space divided and you can put the included wire trays inside there.
  • There is a separate print profile for colored pieces, in case you want yours to look the way I printed mine.

Nice print, but unfortunately the card holder didn't turn out as well.

You might want to try printing it at a slower speed?

Is it possible to modify this for sleeved cards or is that not possible with the rest of the content?

I don't think sleeves would fit without overhauling the entire design.

I'm also trying to find a solution that holds sleeved cards for the upgrades and starting player/captain cards. Those got worn down quick and we had to sleeve them. The mission cards don't need sleeves, of course, but those due for randomizing fairly.

Just cut off at least the sides of the cable box and add this cut-out allowance of about 2.5 mm on each side to the card box, widening the interior by 5 mm so that the sleeved cards can fit in.

Awesome! I printed this piece in all white and then painted in the colors for what goes where. Love it!

Print well and is a greatly simplifies setup of the game. I ended up modifying the indicator trays to be stackable as they were sliding around a bit. My wire holders don't quite fit into the tray, so I skipped that. Love designs like this that make it faster to play by greatly reducing setup time.

I would love to see this modified version which makes them stackable. Have you uploaded a remix?

Replying to @MisterVickers :
Can't upload as they don't allow remixes (which I understand). Essentially I popped the STL's into Fusion, extended the top rims and used each tray to cut from one another. I lost an 8 marker, so I made a wooden one w/laser engraver.

What does everyone do with the expansion boxes? I kind of want to cut the villain portraits out and put them somewhere (maybe on the underside of the box lid). We're only in the low 20s, but we've already outgrown our first insert which only accounted for the base components.

I have several tubs where original boxes from other games go once I make organizers that combine expansions with original box; these went in a tub lol.

I scanned the boxes and reprinted the villain and win/loss table on cardstock to keep in the box.

is it a bad idea to print this insert and open the closed boxes?, If I have not played this yet, (My first game will be next week)? Not sure how bad is to get spoiled on this game

I opened it all before playing. It's not a big deal in my opinion. I'd rather have the whole game organized.

We were on Mission 37 when I printed this and opened the rest. It's pretty easy to just not look at the other missions and the tokens won't make any sense out of context so it's really not a big deal. I don't think knowing any of the future components will make the game any less enjoyable for us and I'm happier to have a much faster start of game setup now vs my other organizer which kept most of the components in their original boxes. Also, in the mid game and on, you'll be revisiting many components you only used 1-2 times prior, and not having to dig around in their various boxes saves even more time.
