Description

"Hydro Torque" – Printable Waterwheel Base (Fits 608 Bearings)

Another awesome client request! 🎓🌊
A local school needed a functional waterwheel model for a classroom project—to help teach students about hydropower, mechanical energy, and the importance of renewable resources.

This simple yet effective waterwheel is perfect for demonstrating how flowing water can be harnessed to create motion and even generate power—just like the old mills and early hydroelectric plants.

Added bonus 150mm waterwheel for A1 mini!

🔧 Specs & Features

  • ⚙️ Diameter: 200 mm
  • 📏 Width: 80 mm
  • 🧩 Designed with 608 bearing slots (22x8 mm) for smooth rotation or mounting on axles
  • 🧩 Consists of 2 parts that easily snap together—but for best results, use glue
  • Made to print in PLA, and scales well for different setups

⚠️ Important: If you scale the model, the bearing slots will no longer match standard 608 size. You’ll need to resize manually or drill to refit.

🖨️ Print Tips
✔ No supports needed
✔ Print flat on a smooth plate for optimal result
✔ Stronger layer adhesion = better rotational strength!

🧠 Possible Uses

  • Add to a scale watermill, old-timey workshop or diorama
  • Use it in a hydro-themed science project
  • Create a mechanical demo using falling water or airflow
  • Just make it spin for fun—because spinning stuff is cool 😄

🌦️ Outdoor Use Note
Planning to use it outside long-term? Make sure to seal and paint it to protect against water and UV damage.

Thanks so much for the support 😇🌟 Whether it was a boost, like, rating, review, or just taking the time to interact — I really appreciate it. It genuinely means a lot. If this was a rating or review and you didn’t give top marks, I’d really appreciate any feedback on what I could improve for next time. And yes — this is a general thank-you message 😅 Not because I don’t care, but because things are a bit busy and I still want to make sure I send a proper thank you to everyone. I’m always open to ideas, requests, or anything you’d like to see more of 😊 If you’re not already following, feel free to hit follow — and if you already are, sorry for repeating myself.

Very good print profile, you don’t need the bearings (depending on use), however I don’t have any axels can you please make a printable axel for the wheel. Thanks
