Special reminder: Before printing, please confirm if the reserved depth is sufficient for the model's recessed distance, and adjust the vertical scaling according to the actual situation
It is highly recommended to perform appropriate scaling using Bambu Studio based on actual conditions:
1. Uncheck uniform scaling
2. Scale according to the actual size of the floor drain installation groove
3. Scale by about 0.2~0.4mm according to the material's shrinkage/expansion

Even if the middle is full of hair, the drainage efficiency is still good!
Silk texture filament is recommended, as it is smooth and less prone to leaving marks
2026-06-05: Added a version without holes. Everyone can punch holes manually using slicing software. This is mainly for special cases where the size ratio is too large/too small, resulting in holes that are too large/too small after scaling


2026-02-26: I feel that 3D printing metal (online outsourcing) is still not mature enough, and the surface is uneven. Online CNC and polishing services generally do not accept such complex loose parts. Perhaps "3D printing + polishing liquid" or "photocuring" offers the best cost-effectiveness

A series of parameter optimizations that I found helpful:

- Appropriately increase nozzle temperature
- Quality - layer height: 0.16
- Quality - line width - outer wall: 0.6

- Quality - seam - smart apply diagonal seams: enabled
- Quality - seam - diagonal seam type: contours and holes
[Detail optimization]
- Quality - advanced - wall generator: Arachne
[Helps with overhangs]
- Quality - advanced - wall order: inner wall/outer wall
- Quality - advanced - bridge flow: 0.9
- Quality - advanced - thick bridges: enabled
- Speed - other layer speed - outer wall: 80
- Strength - other layer speed - inner wall: 150
- Strength - other layer speed - top surface: 80
- Strength - top/bottom shell - top surface/bottom surface/internal solid infill pattern: concentric
Support-free printing:

Before refinement:

2026-01-26: Added a remastered version, offering two options: 4-blade and 3-blade, still available in square and round shapes
1. The opening diameter was changed from 4mm to 3mm, but it is denser, increasing overall flow
2. The diameter of the central circular area was changed from 30mm to 34mm, extending the hair cleaning interval (the "small filter screen" tool is not supported yet)
3. The tail end is deepened (overall height increased from 26mm to 28mm), concentrating hair and reducing overhangs
4. The gap transition is softer

2025-11-29:
1. The gap positions have been optimized to be even smoother! (The previous version was not smooth enough), now ranked first among the latest, including square/round, support-free/with support, a total of 4 plates
2. "Cut a slice" to increase the slope for better "support-free" printing

2025-11-28:
I tried 3 versions with a Japanese-style design that doesn't protrude above the floor
Tests showed that the current version still has faster flow, better hair collection, and is easier to print
Slowly, let's put it aside for now, how embarrassing, a souvenir:


2025-11-05:
Based on the square floor drain, a round version was modified, with the diameter still 94mm
Example: PLA Matte printed with support version (supports are easily removed)

2025-10-17:
1. Gap filled, easier to clean

2. Rounded corners were also added to the back edges of the openings

3. The print profile provides 2 optional plates: support-free and with support, for convenient printing


2025-10-06: As a commemoration, I customized a 3D printed metal version online and applied a coating to reduce dirt residue

2025-07-23: Optimized blades: extended to a flat surface (reduces hair getting stuck in gaps); Optimized holes: added slight rounding to the front (water flows more smoothly through the holes)
2025-07-04: Tested the support-free situation; it can be printed, but the effect did not improve, so the version with support is more recommended
2025-07-02: Fixed asymmetrical openings
2025-06-06: Added print profiles; fixed an extra "half-hole" in the original floor drain model and fine-tuned supports
2025-05-22: To make hair cleaning more convenient, a small filter accessory has been added, which can also be used as a disposable accessory
