Description

Compact Airsoft BB Catch Box with integrated chronograph stand — a simple, tidy solution for safely catching BBs during velocity testing. Place your own chronograph onto the built-in stand, shoot into the box, and let the padded interior catch your BBs cleanly and quietly.

⚠️ Disclaimer: The included padding is designed to stop BBs at approximately 0.5 joules only. For higher-powered airsoft replicas, additional or upgraded padding is required. Use at your own risk.

Strength Issue:The print quality itself is truly exceptional! Yet, when discharging at a mere 0.88 Joules, such an outcome transpires. One shudders to contemplate the potential ramifications at 1.25 Joules. PS: This appears to be the handiwork of a German; I can offer no alternative explanation.😅

Add some soft cushioning material inside

You can add a modifier to the back where the ball hits with 100% infill to prevent breakage this way, you can also try different infill patterns as some absorb lateral impact better than others

idk if it’s just me. but isn’t it a bit of common sense to add some impact adsorbing backing to this? can the creator update the description to spell it out for people please.

Thanks for the suggestion, apparently it is not common sense. Disclaimer has been added.

I guess not. I love how bambu lab and others have made 3d printing so accessible to people. but it seems that in making it so accessible, it’s opened the hobby to having to having to hand hold users more than before.

sorry for the voice to text confusion. I mean the evike. evike has targets that look like soda cans that are made out of aluminum. they're easily bent to conform to the curve that's inside of the model that's what I'm referring to.

yes, shot right through it. are you familiar with the tin can Target the evictions out a lot in their their bags. is there any way that you could modify this model to where I could use that as a backing to where the babies will hit that first and I don't have to worry about them shooting through the back of the actual model itself the aluminum can Target will absorb the energy from the bbs just a thought

You can fill the bottom with sponge or cotton. And you can also add a modifier to the back to prevent it from breaking on impact

well,... I had high hopes for this. I spent the last day and a half printing this at 80% infill with 6 wall in petg. tested it with a 320fps airsoft M4 and blasted a hole right through the back.

I'm sorry to hear this! Did you print and install the padding out of tpu for the back side to absorb the engergy from the BBs?
