A glass lampshade on my 5-light ceiling fixture, an E14 lamp, broke.

Since there was no suitable replacement with the same dimensions, I quickly designed a replacement myself.

Depending on the size, it can also be well used as a tea light holder (but then better not made of PLA).

Diameter of the hole at the E14 socket: 28mm

Outer hole diameter: 60mm

Lamp shade diameter: 98mm

Lamp shade height: 92mm

The following settings have proven suitable for me:

  • printed in Spiral Vase mode: Best light transmission with 1 outer wall, seam not visible
  • for stability, the outer wall in 0.55mm (with 0.42mm the lampshade is quite unstable)
  • Layer height 0.16mm (0.20mm also possible, but looks a bit coarser when backlit)
  • no supports needed
  • Test printed in PLA, so far I have had no problems with 5W LED lights regarding temperature, deformation etc.
