This adapter utilizes a 25mm diameter aluminum tube (21mm inner diameter) sourced from Hornbach. It inserts into the scooter, then attaches to the handlebar at a 45-degree angle. Another angled adapter piece, also at 45 degrees, connects the first adapter to the handlebar grip. A screw, secured with adhesive for enhanced firmness, fixes the grip to the adapter. A 42mm deep hole, drilled into the scooter's adapter, prevents accidental dislodgement. A larger drill bit creates a countersink to accommodate a flush-mounted washer. The screw is trimmed to ensure complete insertion. The scooter features a button that retracts the locking screw, facilitating adapter removal.
The locking mechanism proved unnecessary; the adapter's precision fit prevents slippage even under strain. An M6 threaded rod with wing nuts provides quick-release functionality at the lower end.
