If you find it useful =)
This window stop is designed to fit a 40mm gap between the window frame and the sash. The part’s width at the contact point is 35mm, leaving a 5mm clearance for easier handling. If your window has a different gap size, simply use the scale function in your slicer software to adjust the dimension along the X-axis to match your window gap.
The design is intentionally balanced to be strong enough to hold doors and windows open effectively, while being deliberately breakable as a safety feature. If someone forgets to remove the stop or if strong wind creates pressure, it will break rather than risk damaging your window hinges or mechanisms.
None of the print profiles provided here were created by me. The variants I printed in PETG with 10% infill using triangular pattern and without top and bottom layers work well, but if you print in more brittle materials, please adjust your print profiles accordingly.
You can customize the print strength by adjusting your print settings. Such as increasing infill percentage and adding more perimeters for greater robustness. However, please be cautious with overly strong prints, as these may cause damage to hinges if left in place under strong wind or if the window is closed forcefully.
I recommend attaching a piece of duct tape to the bottom to increase adhesion to the floor.
