Description
The Gloster Meteor was the first operational British jet fighter and the only Allied jet aircraft to see combat in World War II. Developed by the Gloster Aircraft Company, it made its maiden flight in 1943 and entered service in 1944. Powered by two Rolls-Royce turbojet engines, the Meteor was primarily used to intercept V-1 flying bombs and later conducted ground-attack and reconnaissance missions. Though it had limited impact on the outcome of the war, the Meteor marked a significant advancement in jet propulsion technology and laid the groundwork for future jet-powered aircraft.
This is a 1:72 scale model of the aircraft, which was made in Blender and print tested on an A1 Mini.
