Let me introduce the Ratchet Strap Winder v2! A manual retractor for tensioning straps that helps you organize your tensioning/ratchet straps quickly and easily. You just thread the tension straps into the slot, start cranking, pull off the strap roll when it's coiled up, and lock it from unrolling with a strap locker. Super easy. It is also great for winding up jute when gardening, sewing materials, wound dressing, and such. Saves a lot of time when working on your farm, garden, garage or worksite!

This version has been developed with input from all you fellow makers who gave me input on my last version. So here are some new features! Many many thanks to this great community!

New v2 community-inspired features:

  • A filament-saving integrated strap lock system. Just 2,5 grams per locker! Small and large are available.
  • A rod that helps you tension and steer your straps for a better and cleaner roll.
  • Improved ergonomics.
  • Left and right-hand versions available.
  • Slightly bigger base plate.

Original key features:

  • Only printed parts. You read that right! This model is designed to be assembled with printed pins.
  • No support needed.
  • Up to 75mm wide straps are quickly and easily rolled up. But the stronger the band, the fewer meters it can handle.

Printing and assembly instructions:

  • Assembly instructions are attached below. Don't forget to break the small pin on the crank.
  • Make sure your printer's tolerances are good enough for tight fits.
  • You must use a sturdy filament for this print. I would use PETG or ASA.
  • Use at least 4-5 walls and a minimum of 20% infill.
