Description
A simple minimalist battery-powered table lamp with
Requirements:
- 50cm led strip (12v) (optional: 1m for more brightness; those one are great and cheap, the 600 LEDs one)
- 12v battery pack (you can check my dedicated model to build one yourself, you'll have to find a proper 12v buck converter)
- A dimmable 12v switch like this one
This is designed around the USB-C charging board found here.
Check my dedicated battery pack model for more infos.
Building steps:
- Print all parts
Measure the led strips, cut and solder them like so (if you have two). Watch out for polarities

Install them in the head like so. Also install the touch button (you don't have to open it, you can leave the case)

- Solder the leds to the button
- Glue the wires in place so it doesn't rattle around
- Install the battery pack in the base

- Install the diffuser on the head, secure it with hot glue
- Connect the two and test the on/off and dim functions
- Add a tiny bit of hot glue on the top head, put the base/coe into the head and quickly check that's it's level before the hot glue sets
- Plug everything, make sure you have secured the battery with hot glue or something else
- Then ad some last tiny hot glue specks on the inside of the base and insert the base inside. It should not be flush with the bottom, there is some room for print tolerances and hot glue amounts. The lamp should rest on the base/cone rim.
