DIY Sliding Glass Aquarium Lid (no glass cutting!)

Want sliding glass lids for your fish tanks but don't want to cut the glass yourself or bother with having it cut? This is for you!

This is based on JMC's original sliding glass rails design, but sits on the outermost rim of your tank and fits standard 1/8" or 3/32" thick glass panels you can buy at Home Depot, Lowes, or anywhere without having to cut it. Just print and slide the glass in.

These add an indentation that sits on the inner rim and keeps the lid from sliding from side to side once the glass is in place. The print also includes pieces that snap on the rails to block off a small gap in the glass and to stop the lid when sliding it closed.

There are print profiles currently available for 5.5 gallon, 10 gallon, and 20 gallon tanks.

5.5 gallon: 8x10 or 8x8

10 gallon: 10x12

20 gallon: 12x16
