Description
Seeking a flexible, stylish, and functional solution for your garden, balcony, or patio?
Then this adjustable louver system is perfect for you! With this 3D printing template, you can quickly build (with a few screws) your own personalized screen—customizable, highly stable, and a true visual highlight.
The system is designed to be combined with commercially available wooden slats (100 mm × 18 mm). The length of the slats is up to you—tested with 100 cm, but your creativity knows no bounds. Whether as a privacy screen, side windbreak, or semi-transparent sunshade—you decide how you build it!
💡 Outstanding Features:
- 🔄 Rotating Louvers—You control the light and privacy.
- 🧱 Modularly Expandable—Whether 10 or 100 slats, the system grows with your ideas.
- 🪵 Genuine Wood Look Meets High-Tech Mechanics—For those who appreciate rustic AND modern styles.
- 🔩 Easy Assembly with M4 Wood Screws (M4×35 & M4×20—all standard items from the hardware store).
- 🧰 Tip from a DIY Pro: Pre-drill for screwing on the end of the slats—your wood will thank you (and won't splinter).
🌦️ Made for Outdoors—ASA is Your Best Friend!
Since the system is intended for outdoor use, you should use ASA filament. Why? Quite simply:
✅ UV-resistant
✅ Weather-resistant
✅ Dimensionally stable even with temperature fluctuations
✅ And it simply looks great, especially in black 😎
🔧 Recommended ASA Print Settings:
- Nozzle Temp: 240–260 °C
- Bed Temp: 90–110 °C
- Enclosed Build Chamber: Ideally yes! ASA doesn't like drafts.
- Fan: Off or minimal (max. 20%)—for optimal layer adhesion
- Speed: 40–60 mm/s
- Infill: 10%
- Brim/Skirt: Recommended—Warping is a classic with ASA
Pro-tip: ASA smells a bit when printing—so open a window or print in an enclosure with exhaust!
🧱 Build Your System—Your Way!
The template is designed for 10 slats, but you can add as many units as you like.
Whether vertically, horizontally, or in an elegant frame—you design your privacy screen system individually.
And thanks to the movable slats, you always have full control over light, air, and views 👀.
Transform a pile of wooden slats and a few printed parts into a modular, movable highlight in your outdoor area.
Whether DIY hero, 3D printing enthusiast, or DIY newbie—this project is fun and impressive!
