Boost Me (for free)
I worked hard on this model. A boost will support me to continue making more models like this,
Also it's free so why not <3
Ever since I was a kid I always wanted to have Cap's Shield. Now, I finally made one, full scale, ready to play or display.
It took a bit of post proccessing - glueing al the slices together with the supports inside, welding those parts, sanding, filling gaps, more sanding, and painting, but at the end, I belive that the effort was well worth it. A shield that looks just like the movies, and now - it's time to fufill a childhood's dream!
Unfortunately, I didn't document all the steps until the shield was ready, but it is a simple proccess. The shield is cut into 10 sections. Each section has holes that inside them You insert the supports (plate 2) they help you align the shield and add strength to the whole model. Then, I recommend to glue all those parts together, and bond them permanently with a soldering iron. After that you have full creative control on how you sand, prime, and paint your shield!
I added a few version of the stars:
Flat - a star with a flat top surface so it will have less visible layer lines.
No Brim - a star with no circular brim around it's edges. I don't really recommend using it if you print the star flat, but if you for some reason change the rotation of the part, it may be useful.
