Description
The idea came from my personal need to replace my old keychain with something more cool, especially for daily use with belt loops. The main challenge was creating a carabiner that was easy to clip onto and remove from a belt loop while securely holding the keys.
After several iterations I fine-tuned a specific gate design: the carefully tested chamfer allows for easy removal of the carabiner from the loop when you need it, but prevents keys from accidentally slipping out .
These carabiners are also very strong: they are designed to be printed with an orientation that maximizes strength along the main stress axis. When printed in PETG the classic version can hold a maximum of approximately 15 kg before breaking.
I created three design variations to offer different styles and let you have a unique and distinctive keychain carabiner.
