Description

This is a replacement AC & Heater blower door/flap, printed to fit a 2019 Mazda CX-5, will suit similar models using the same blower unit. The door/flap is used to switch the cabin air flow between outside & recirculate modes. Part labelled as number 12 on the attached assembly guide.

Notes:

  • Left (L) & Right (R) markers provided as correct orientation during assembly is required. These markers line up with the markings on the inside of the blower housing.
  • Replacement foam strip used: Moroday Econo-seal (open cell strip foam 9mm x 6mm)
  • Cylindrical shafts sanded to reduce rotational friction.
  • STEP file included for customisation.
  • Printed using Bambu PETG-HF. This produced a stronger part than the original, only 10grams heavier and should be fine with the temperature of the environment and any light chemicals it comes in contact with.
  • Best results when printing at less than half the default slicer speeds. First layer was printed at just 15mm/s before stepping up to 80mm/s for outer walls for example. I used mouse ears to assist with bed adhesion.
