Could I interest you in something different? A low profile sock for the Radiomaster Pocket gimble; This chewy grip is so comfy you'll forget it's there. Give this one a go, it just might become your go-to.

I really love this gimble cover. It's a design landed on after much iteration, from the more traditional jumbo sized socks, to the smooth and spikey topped.
Focused on feel and performance, these gimble socks offer extreme comfort without sacrificing on grippiness. 


The bobbles offer improved grip over the rectangle billets, while being far more comfortable than spikes.
The crevice for the thumb to rest in features a crisscross pattern that creates a pleasant texture with a light sticky feel, while the radial extrusions introduce a structural variance that increases clinginess.

 

You'll appreciate how the design elements lend themselves to the printing process, as have spent time massaging the model and profile for best results. Using AMS-TPU, with a .12 layer height and ironed top surface, they look and feel like collectables.

Pre installation (Post print):

Remove the support, with a pair of tweezers (or similar). Simply pierce the film at the bottom of the model, then form a tight grip around the support, giving a twist to remove it.

As these gimble covers will be in heavy contact with the skin, and the printing process will leave a coat of irritants across its surface, it is highly encouraged to give each piece a wash with warm soapy water, to rinse with cold and then dry.


Installation:

Unscrew the gimbles from the controller to avoid putting any unneeded stress on the components.
Holding the gimble in one hand and the sock in the other, squeeze the the two together until only a small portion of the gimbles rectangular billets are still visible.
 

Removal:
Unscrew the gimbles to avoid stress on components.
Holding a gimble in one hand and the top of the sock with the other, wiggle the sock back and forth breaking the vacuum that seals it, while pulling away from the gimble. If needed gently pry at the bottom of the sock.
