Description

I’m still pretty new to CAD, but I’ve been diving into Fusion 360 and experimenting with different modeling techniques. For this project, I decided to try something a little different.

I used AI as a creative tool to help design and generate the concept for Benchy Prime—a fusion between the classic 3D printing benchmark and a transforming robot. From there, I took the design into Fusion 360 and manually reworked the robot parts to fit a real Benchy model. I broke down the geometry, merged the components, and made sure it would print cleanly as a single piece.

This was a great learning project for me, and I hope it prints as well for you as it did for me. This model does require slim tree supports, no assembly required.

Thanks for checking it out!

About the Model:

Benchy Prime is a one-piece, non-articulated display model—great for testing your printer’s detail and bed adhesion, and just fun to show off.

This is Version 1. I might explore a posable version in the future with joints or interchangeable parts.  Maybe an actual transforming benchy!
