Description

Note: A lot of people have been asking where to get the boiler. To clarify - you need to make it. Instructions are in the assembly guide.

Introducing the Putt Putt Benchy! It's the iconic Benchy design, with a Steam Engine

It looks good and its functional. And to keep with the spirit of the Benchy, no supports are needed for the print!

Check out this video to see how the boat runs!

The Putt Putt Benchy design used the Original 3D benchy as a baseline and improved on it to ensure the model floats well and remains stable while accommodating the boiler. The boiler design also went through iterations to make sure it works reliably. Here are the iterations that didn't make the cut (the Putt Putt Benchy Graveyard):

Assembly:

Note: Boiler assembly instructions are attached in the Assembly Guide.

Please be careful when assembling and using the boat.

  1. Attach the chimney to the roof

  2. Attach the roof to the boat

  3. Attach the boiler to the boat

How to use the boat:

  1. Light the candle and place it in the boat.
  2. Fill the boiler up with water
  3. Attach the boiler to the boat
  4. Wait for it to heat up and start moving (its takes about 3 minutes to heat up)
