Description

[Please print with a 0.6 mm nozzle and 0.18 mm layer height.]

This is a single-layer, airless Size 5 basketball printed with PEBA 90A filament. It has a diameter of 220 mm, a wall thickness of 11 mm, and weighs approximately 565 g.

 

Recommended Parameters:

Nozzle Temperature: 220-250°C

Print Speed:

90A/85A: Maximum volumetric speed 7.2 mm³/s

Build Plate Temperature: 40-60°C

Retraction: 0.4-2 mm

 

PEBA is a high-performance flexible filament that requires more precise printing conditions compared to rigid filaments like PLA or PETG.

Use a Brand-New Hotend: 

Avoid using a hotend previously used for fiber-reinforced filaments to prevent contamination or clogging.

Clean Extruder and Feed Gears: 

Ensure the extruder is free of debris and feed gears are unworn to prevent filament slipping or inconsistent extrusion.

Minimize Feeding Resistance:

Use a low friction spool holder with bearings to ensure smooth filament feeding.

Filament Drying:

PEBA is factory-dried and sealed; it typically does not require drying if used within 3 days of opening.

If severe stringing occurs, re-dry the filament at 80°C for 8 hours or 65°C for 18 hours.

Stringing Management:

Drying PEBA before printing reduces but does not eliminate stringing, especially in models with hollow structures or frequent retractions.

Use a heat gun (~200°C) to remove stringing from finished prints, but exercise caution to avoid damaging the model.

PEBA属于高性能柔性耗材,相比于打印常见的刚性耗材(PLA PETG),需要更高精度的打印条件。

1,强烈推荐使用全新的热端。请勿使用曾打印过纤维增强耗材的热端打印PEBA。

2,确保挤出机无异物,进料齿轮无磨损。(否则可能会出现耗材打滑,无法被连续均匀挤出)

3,打印柔性耗材需要低阻力流畅的进料,进料阻力过大会造成挤出不足。推荐使用带轴承的料盘干燥箱。

4,耗材在出厂时会经过烘干和密封,正常情况下耗材开封3天内不需要额外烘干。如果发现模型拉丝严重,可以重新烘干耗材。推荐烘干温度:80℃,8h。或65℃,18h。

5,关于拉丝:打印前将PEBA耗材烘干只能减少打印件上的拉丝,而不能完全避免,尤其是镂空结构等跳跃较多的模型。可以使用热风枪(约200℃)去除已经打印好的模型上的拉丝(请小心操作,避免损坏模型)。
