Print-in-Place Mimic Chest – No Supports Needed

This is a simple, fun Mimic chest model I designed as my first 3D project. It prints all in one piece—no supports and no assembly needed. Just slice and print!

I printed this using PLA on a Bambu A1 Mini, and it came out clean and functional right off the bed. The first images show the unpainted version straight after printing, and the later images show what it can look like after some basic painting. I used burnt sienna brown for the chest and added some detail to the eyes using basic acrylic colors.

Right now, it’s available as a single-color model, but it’s great for painting if you want to add more personality. I’m also working on an updated version that will include a tongue to make it even more Mimicy.
