I designed this one-of-a-kind model as a special gift for my girlfriend — a glowing 3D photo display shaped like a truncated icosahedron (the classic soccer ball form). Whether as a cozy bedside lamp or a personal photo showcase, this print is meant to light up hearts as well as rooms.

🟡 The base fits an LED Kit 001 Light, and the pink PLA Glow inserts let the lithophane images shine softly even after the light is turned off.

💡 Two Ways to Use It:

• Clean Mode: Use the included blank inserts and enjoy it as a stylish ambient lamp.
• Photo Mode: Replace the inserts with your own lithophanes to turn it into a stunning personalized photo globe.

Either way, it’s a fun and meaningful centerpiece — for yourself or as a gift.

🧲 Assembly Info:

• Requires 110x Neodymium Magnets (⌀4 mm × 1.5 mm) → [Amazon Link]
• The connection holes are marked with A and B:
  • All A-marked magnets must have the same orientation
  • All B-marked magnets must also match each other, but be oriented opposite to the A group
• Use a drop of glue to secure each magnet into place

🖼️ Making Your Own Lithophanes:

You’ll need:

• 11x Pentagon-shaped lithophanes
• 15x Hexagon-shaped lithophanes

Use this online tool to generate them:

➡️ Make sure to use the same values shown in the images – this ensures your lithophanes will fit the inserts perfectly in shape and size.

Then:

• Import the generated STLs into your slicer
• Place them upright, as shown in the model viewer
• Use glow-in-the-dark PLA for best results
