Star Wars Death Star Wall Lamp

I designed a Star Wars lamp with the look of the Death Star wallpanels. Reshaped from my 1:6 wallpanel model. 

The lampshade and base is printed with Bambu Lab PLA Metallic Iron Gray. The diffuser with Bambu Lab PLA Jade White.

The base has a thread and can be unscrewed at any time to access the light source. This allows the lampshade to be glued to the base if you want to.

Print infos, settings and tips:

• Print the lampshade with the logo top side down - use the Textured PEI plate for a textured top surface, for a smoother finish use the Smooth oder Cold Plate.
• Remove the diffuser plate from the Bambu Lab Light-Kit-001 for a bit stronger light (you can unscrew the casing).
• The lampshade is set to 100 mm/s print speed for the outer wall to keep a steady printing speed. If you raise the print speed, the filament will look on some layers matte and on others slightly shiny.
• If you print the lampshade with the logo in white color, you have to print the “Diffuser for transparent logo” - this diffuser will be printed only with walls without a top or bottom layer (printed in vase mode).

• If you choose a dark color (black, dark grey, etc.) for the logo, you can print the “Diffuser for opaque logo” - this diffuser will be printed with a top layer for better light reflection (printed in vase mode with top layer on bottom).

   

• ATTENTION: If you choose for the lampshade (the Death Star Wallpanel) a lighter color, the light will shine through. For example, Bambu Labs PLA Metal, Silk, Silk + is basically opaque. PLA basic or matte and PETG will let with lighter colors the light through.
