Description

SpoolPerch Gravity Edition: No Lip, Easy Slip

SpoolPerch, the versatile and secure wall-mount system for 3D printer spools, now in a gravity-powered version— with no spool lip required. People complained that the original version, made for cardboard spools, required a lip of a certain depth/shape on the spool for it to work well.

Boost Me (for free)

If you like my work, boosts are nice.

The Gravity Edition uses a 15-10° tilt to harness the power of gravity, securely cradling smooth-walled and other spools that the original mount can’t handle.  Comes in 3 size/angle variations (25 mm * 15° shown here):

  • 25 mm * 15° Angle : Short stubby mount with a steeper angle.
  • 30 mm * 15° Angle : Slightly longer mount with a steeper angle.
  • 40 mm * 10° Angle : Longer mount with a shallower angle.

Originally created to support a custom wall-lamp made from an empty spool, SpoolPerch is perfect for any creative or practical spool-holding needs. This version expands compatibility, especially with brands and spools where the lip-based design falls short.

This set includes three types of mounts and three sizes per type to suit your installation preferences: a “command strip” version for a no-drill setup and a couple of “screws” version for added stability and/or stud-mounting. While only the command strip version has been tested, both options are designed for reliability and ease of use.

Works great with PETG, but PLA is probably fine too. Includes pre-sliced 3MF for Bambu PETG HF, as well as generic 3MF and STEP files for easy customization.
